Every day, 300 people are diagnosed with macular disease. It's the biggest cause of sight loss in the UK.
Macular disease is cruel and isolating. It steals your sight, your independence and your ability to do the things you love.
It can affect people of any age - even children - but not enough is known about why, and there is still no cure.
There is only one way to Beat Macular Disease for good. We must fund much more research now, until we find a cure, or find treatments that stop it in its tracks.
Join Team Macular and together we can fund the research that will find the cure. Together we can make sure the next generation won't have their sight, confidence and love of life stolen from them by macular disease.
Get a place
For our charity places in the Scottish Half Marathon and 10k, we ask for a small registration fee of £10 and a minimum sponsorship of £250 for the Half Marathon and £150 for the 10k. Once you've applied for a place, we'll be in touch to explain more.
You can, of course, choose to raise vital sponsorship for us through your own place.
All our runners receive a dri-flo running vest and fundraising pack. We'll also be there with all the advice and encouragement you need.
You can only apply to one Affiliate Charity at a time. For further information on how the Charity Entry process works please see our FAQs.
