The National Trust for Scotland

We are Scotland's largest and most diverse conservation charity, caring for more than 100 places for the benefit of the nation, including  28 castles, palaces and great houses; 12 social and industrial heritage sites; 3 historic burghs; 76,000 hectares of countryside; 16 island groups; 7 national nature reserves; 46 Munros; and 1 Dual World Heritage Site.

The Trust is an independent charity, supported by more than 316,000 members and contributions from grants and donors.  Founded in 1931 by a small group of Scots concerned at the growing threat to the country's natural and built heritage the Trust's remit set out in various Acts of Parliament, is to promote the care and conservation of the Scottish landscape and historic buildings while providing access for the public to enjoy them.

Each year we are reliant upon the generosity of supporter to help fundraise to support our work.  By raising sponsorship for the Trust you will be providing vital fund to enable us to continue our conservation, education and outreach work for the benefit of this and future generations.  For guidance, we would be delighted if runners could support the work of the Trust by raising minimum sponsorship levels.

For any race we ask you to raise as much as you can for the National Trust for Scotland with a minimum sponsorship level of £300.  Please contact the Community Fundraising team for more information.
